Our Dogs

All our dogs have been saved from ‘Death Row’ They have been found straying in the Conwy area and taken to the pound near Abergele. After 7 days, dogs not claimed by their owners would normally be euthanased. Animal Rescue organisations , such as ourselves, try to save as many of these dogs as possible and re-home them.  If you have lost a dog it is well worthwhile keeping an eye on our website - you never know, he/she may turn up at Little Pydew

Through no fault of their own these lovely dogs are living in the Abandoned Animals Association kennels at Little Pydew, Prestatyn.

Please come along and see them. Perhaps one of them would make the perfect pet for you.

Hey, I'm Sofi, a 4½ year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross GSD. I have been a resident at the centre for a very long time, so long that I've forgotten what it's like to be surrounded by a loving family. I am very affectionate and enjoy being the centre of attention, I'd make an excellent companion for the right owner.

Woof! I'm Dylan, a rather handsome Staffy cross Labrador. I am 20 months old with bagfuls of energy and a big personality to match. Being so young and sprightly, I would benefit from plenty of daily exercise and play, with an opportunity to further my training.

Hello, my name is Milly. I am a 5 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier that arrived at Abandoned Animals Association via the pound. I've had a rough start in life and now need an understanding owner who can give me the love and attention that I deserve. I enjoy playing frisbee and will happily sit on your lap for hours

I'm Yogi, a 10 year old Collie who has been in the care of the Abandoned Animals Association for the past 6 years. Although I can be wary of strangers at first, once I get to know you, I'm your best friend. I am very active for my age, intelligent, too. I need a special home where my insecurities are understood, please give me a chance

If you should have the misfortune to lose your dog please take the following actions:-

1. Ring the Dog Warden departments at all the local County Council offices.

2. Ring all the Pounds maintained by all the local County Councils.

3. Ring all the Rescue Centres within a 50 mile radius.

BY LAW YOUR DOG, EVEN IF HE/SHE IS MICROCHIPPED, SHOULD HAVE A DISC ATTACHED TO THE COLLAR GIVING YOUR ADDRESS AND AS MANY CONTACT DETAILS AS POSSIBLE, SO THAT IF ANYONE FINDS HIM/HER THEY WILL BE ABLE TO CONTACT YOU IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT HAVING TO FIND SOMEONE WITH A SCANNER ABLE TO READ THE MICROCHIP.

These days the Police do not have any responsibility for lost dogs but they will certainly give you the information to enable you to contact the above organisations.

IF YOUR DOG IS MICROCHIPPED TELEPHONE THE DATABASE AND GIVE THEM ALL THE DETAILS.

RING ALL THE ABOVE ORGANISATIONS DAILY

FOR AT LEAST A MONTH. DON’T GIVE UP!!
